The Bog Wardens

10th October 2017 - not the first time we'd won the Red Lion pub quiz, but the first time we'd won after the hostess started taking pics of the winners to post on the pub's Facebook page. That night we were relatively sober:

 

Our next win was on 9th January 2018, and we'd had a few too many Guinnesseseses by the time the camera was wielded:

 

Someone, who will remain nameless but who features in both of the pics above, commented that we weren't very photogenic in that shot. We couldn't deny it, but we decided that we'd not be caught out again. Plans were put in place to ensure our photo-worthiness regardless of us being under the affluence of incahol.

Last night the plan was executed. It was a resounding success, all the more satisfying because of the surprise factor:

POST PROELIA CONCORDIA

It's getting to be a tad too much now:

The Council's motto is "POST PROELIA CONCORDIA", which means "AFTER CONFLICT, PEACE".

Up to now, it's not been working out that way. More words have been had.

Furthermore, the Council's strap-line is "A Borough to be proud of". Yeah, right.

Parking a respectable distance away from the entrance/exit to our driveway is an excellent idea, but parking a respectable distance away from everything is probably taking things a bit too far:

Another skilled migrant worker, delivering items from eBay. She's one of our frequent driveway blockers.

I think her name's probably Tim, because she's nice but dim.
