I just clicked on the "Syrup" link in the footer of this blog, to keep up with current events there.
Imagine my surprise to get the following message:
You have been blacklisted from the website for spamming.
That's curious. All I've done is submit a couple of constructive comments and asked a few questions about the theme. Nick's responses have all been fine.
It's got to be an error unless my site's been hacked/hijacked, but I can't contact Nick Berlette (the theme's author) to discuss this matter, as I can't access his contact page due to the ban.
Hmm. I'm a bit stuck here.
Nick, if you're reading this, please whitelist me, or at least let me know why I'm blacklisted, as I've no idea what I've done wrong.

I had the jolly clever idea to cut & paste your post above & include it in a chatty wee comment on the Syrup thing.
I shouldn't be banned, 'cos I've never heard of it before, obviously. 😀
First attempt nothing happened. 2nd try, it looked as if something was happening, & I think the comment post tally increased by one, but there's no new comment appearing when I go back there.
I diagnose some sort of t'internet breakage-type thing.

I looked at the folk who had commented before, and none were using the theme, nor reported similar problems.
I dropped him an email and copy/pasted it to BG! Probably all done on automatic.

I'm really sorry to have got you both into this mess.
Sir, it's no skin off my hooter if some other chap causes a problem. I just blogged to that effect. Not my problem, I just refuse to get worked up about something that unimportant. You might try the WordPress help forums, otherwise just change to a theme where you don't have this hastle. IMO.
Oops - I've not been following developments here, 'cos I've been drinking beer and listening to Warren Zevon. It's what Fridays are for.
