It's been a few years since I mentioned Captain Scott's Strong Blend Tea. Back then, it was touted as the same "original blend" that Scott's Terra Nova Expedition took to the wastes of Antarctica.
It's seen a few changes. The original box, riddled with errors which were discussed here, was corrected fairly rapidly. A later version included the stupid notion that it could be both the "original blend" and "improved" at the same time. I had words with Mr. Cohen's lackeys and a new version was released soon afterwards with the claim "improved" removed, and with "strong" promoted to "extra strong". At some point someone removed the blurb which told of their support of the programme for the preservation of Scott's huts in Antarctica. The final version looks like this:
I say it's the final version because it's nowhere to be found in Jack's Emporium - it's been discontinued. The box pictured above is the last one in my stash. If I'd known beforehand that the product was due to be canned, I'd have bought the whole stock and buried it in a supply-dump somewhere in the snow.
Below is their replacement offering. It's not got the same heroic appeal, and I've no idea how it tastes as I'm yet to try it, but I suppose I'll have to give it a go. You never know, it might be the same stuff in a different box:

Another blood-test and consultation today. Platelets, WCC and neutrophils have all dropped again - that's now five consecutive drops. We've no idea what my body is doing with my iron intake - this time Hb has joined in and is dropping towards bottom-limit, yet serum ferritin continues to rise with no reasonable explanation forthcoming from the haematologists. That said, the Wikipedia page for ferritin does say that "concentrations increase drastically in the presence of an infection or cancer".
The nerdy counts charts have been updated.
I avoided another Bone Marrow Aspiration with Trephine, but I'm booked in for another test and consultation two weeks hence.
Back on the meds though - Aciclovir for 35 days, in a belated effort to shift the viral infections that I've had since June:

These Socket Shelves cost 99p a pop at Screwfix, and even the most inept DIYer could install one in less than a minute.
Compare that to the time and money involved in having the moby repaired after it has been knocked off a perch or stood on.

Nowhere, that's where.
Right of egress? Pah! Nobody gives a shit. Common-sense says "park with due consideration", but the M.O. is "park anywhere, and complain when asked to move".
Our driveway is blocked and I can't get my car out. My neighbour's driveway is blocked and he can't get his car out. The flat where the work is being done has no driveway and the residents have no car.
Go figure!
