As expected, the seeing was rubbish again (too much air-turbulence caused by rising warm air mixing with the colder stuff higher up), so the images in the acquired .avi files weren't holding shape or focus. To get some idea of the seeing, here's a 15-second snip from one of the .avi files, in .mp4 format:<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><div style=\"width: 640px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-388-1\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/beardedgit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/astromovies_0019avi.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/beardedgit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/astromovies_0019avi.mp4\">https:\/\/beardedgit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/astromovies_0019avi.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"justify\">Anyway, I ended up with 9000+ frames to play with. I plugged the files into <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"http:\/\/pk3.org\/K3CCDTools\/\" target=\"_blank\">K3CCDTools<\/a> to do a quality analysis, then exported the best 10% + about another 100 that the quality sorter ignored to a folder, manually sorted the best 360 of these in <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"http:\/\/www.virtualdub.org\/index\" target=\"_blank\">vdub<\/a> and then stacked 'em in <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"http:\/\/www.astronomie.be\/registax\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Registax<\/a>, which didn't crash at all this time!
