Pics as promised... here's a before-and-after pair, click either of them to see more pics of the storm-damage at our property.

I'm fairly sure that the car will be a write-off  😥

That's going to take some fixing, Stef.
    😐
Your insurance assessor will have his work cut out. I would imagine the builders in your area will be busy for a little while. Best to get a few in for quotes ASAP so you get things moving once you get the okay from your insurance company, otherwise you will be at the back of a long queue.
    Good luck with it, fella.

    Good grief. 😯

Do the schools still teach the weans that we've got a temperate climate?

Not that it's any consolation, but my car's about to be a write-off as well, and that's simply on the strength of the MOT test. Oh, and sorry about your spuds, as well.

    Blimey!
    Unbelievable!
I thought this sort of weather only happened in the USA!
I blame it on the Spanish

    Blimey. Commiserations.
Imagine being out on the hills when something like that struck. Frightening thought.

Yeah, every time I watch the video in the previous post I think to myself "it's a good job that I wasn't out testing the new tent in those conditions!"

We were relatively lucky - although the eye of the storm passed right above us, our sturdy 1950s council-built house stood up to it well. Further along the hail swath the slate roofs of the older houses didn't stand a chance, they look like they've been hit by artillery air-bursts. I've a mind to get some pics of the carnage when I'm out and about tomorrow.

Of course, this is all good news for local builders, roofers, glaziers and tree-surgeons etc.. I've never seen so many of them in one place, not even at trade-shows.
