Had to go to the Post Office today, the route took me along the track of the storm.

As you can see, fixing the pub and the adjoining property has been made Priority No. 1.

    That's quite a mess, Stef.
I don't think you'll have any problem convincing the loss adjusters of your problem, with that sort of back-up.
Good luck sorting it all out.

The problem isn't convincing them, it's getting them to attend - we won't get one until 12/07/2012, that'll be a full fortnight after the storm.

Until the L.A.'s been and seen, we can only do temporary repairs and get quotes. I'll wager that it'll be at least another week after that (probably a lot longer as we'll be into the holiday-season) before we can actually get the house roof surveyed and fixed properly. Our damage isn't very extensive compared to the examples in the pics and so we'll be way down the priority list.

That's annoying, as the village is currently teeming with roofers that could sort our house roof properly as an afternoon or evening fill-in job. I've got prices/estimates for everything else, so we're playing the waiting game and hoping that we don't get another deluge which would add water-damage to the claim list.
