At long last I've got me a follow-up consultation:

Maybe I should send a reply?

I was thinking of something along the lines of:

"The patient will not always see the consultant (or his proxy) personally, the patient may send one of his mates from down the pub."

    Maybe this should read Poxy consultant!

    I'd insist on seeing the main guy after your problems last time, if they refuse tell them you've just started work with the new Sun on Sunday.

    @Geoff - Sorry that your first attempt was trashed, Geoff.

    FWIW, the appointment is with the first consultant that I saw way back in October, the one that didn't do the procedure. Should be interesting when I show him the work of his subbie and a record of what's happened since the reaming. I'll be taking a witness to this latest consultation, seems like a reasonable precaution just in case it all turns sour.
