Picture this

As promised, pics of cameras attached to the scope. Sad, eh?

1: focuser-housing, 2: drawtube, 3: drawtube to eyepiece-holder adapter, 4: eyepiece-holder, 5: T-mount, 6: D50 body

    She's got many sisters:
    D60
    D3
    D2Xs
    D2Hs
    D300
    D200
    D80
    D40
    D40x
    Which one do you fancy?

  3. Sadly, being an ex-roleplayer, and current wargamer, I thought these were dice codes rather than Nikon cameras. 🙄

I feel a bit sorry for the wee eyepiece in those pictures. Frail & outnumbered, it looks.

  5. BG! says:

Indeed. I'm making a brace for it, just to be on the safe side!

Ok, so far so geeky.... but hang on, even I know that's a CZ730! What is this 'M52 clamp-on adapter' thing? I'm trying to picture how it works - does it just screw in place?

  7. Baz says:

Oops! That'll teach me to wander through an RSS feed backwards... sorry, of course you explain all in http://beardedgit.com/?p=334
So the Olympus takes an thread extension adapter (I) and you can then fit to that. Excellent!

    Hi Baz, welcome in!

The adapter that I got for the C730-UZ has the following ID marking: "AI5245C7", I bought it off eBay ages ago to let me fit the 52mm filters (bought for my long-gone Olympus OM10) for general use. 45mm thread to camera, 52mm at the front. The clamp-on 52mm-to-eyepiece adapter is eBay item number 200198159859, bought via the "make an offer" facility. The seller has a website at http://www.skysthelimit.homecall.co.uk/index.html

RSS... don't you just love it?

    I don't.
